Leases are a simple way to finance Omnicell technology. Repayments may be montghly, quarterlky or annual and each repayment carries the VAT – deferreing the VAT cost. Our lease also alleviates pressure on bank finance and general credit facilities and is free of security on any other property or assets of the business.
Finance Lease: The finance lease offers a simple way to finance Omnicell technology, spreading the cost over the useful life of the investment, improving liquidity and matching costs to benefits.
Operating Leases: By investing in the equipment (a “Residual Value Investment”), we can lower lease rentals and therefore overall cost in the primary period of use. Moreover, we can structure operating leases which, in many instances, enable "off balance sheet" treatment for our finance: this is still available under UK GAAP (FRS102) and, despite changes to International and US accounting standards, for the NHS sector.
Medicines administration processes are complex and Omnicell’s technology is supporting staff in National Health Service and Private Sector hospitals to prescribe and administer medicines safely, replacing or supplementing ward-based medicine distribution processes.
Omnicell offers a total solution for hospitals for managing medicines inventory and dispensing leading to significant improvements in efficiencies and costs. However, the upfront costs of a managed solution – the equipment, software and installation – need to be paid for, so, through Omnicell Capital UK, Omnicell can offer to spread all such costs over the economic life of the project (up to a maximum of 15 years (*)), as part of the managed services charges. This means a “unitary” annual charge for the complete solution, from provision of the Omnicell inventory management equipment, continuous system management, servicing (including parts and labour), through preventative maintenance and optimisation, telephone support, to system software updates and upgrades and training.
